Overview

If we had 10 hours to teach you the most important things that you need to know to get started in this industry, this course would be it. A lot of b@bies have expressed to us that the best learning they had was during conversations with older members. This course attempts to formalize these conversations into a study guide for the blockchain space.

Learning Goals

At the end of this course, you should be able to:

• Explain the most important concepts and building blocks of blockchain technology
• Have a meaningful conversation with anyone in the industry
• Find something particular in crypto that interests you
• Have the necessary skills to pursue your personal goals in this industry

The goal is not to go super in-depth on specific technologies, but instead to give you a conceptual understanding into most of the important concepts in crypto.

Prerequisites

This course is not designed to require dense technical understanding. However having a background in a couple of things will make your life easier:

• Math: We will be covering derivations of equations. While we will not explicity use calculus, some calculus knowledge will be helpful. AP Calculus AB, Math 1A, or the equivalent is fine.
• Computer Programming - while the course is designed to introduce most concepts in a way that does not depend on heavy CS knowledge, knowing some basic concepts will be helpful. CS 10, AP Computer Science, or the equivalent is more than enough.
• Some basic economics knowledge
